~Conservation An Ever Changing Challenge~


The Deming Soil and Water Conservation District function is to take available technical, financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land manager with conservation of soil, water and related natural resources.

We serve any citizen or group of citizens interested in conserving the soil and/or water of our district.


Our Mission

     To provide leadership in conservation of water and all natural resources to preserve the cultural heritage and tax base for future generations


Our Objectives

  •  increase use of drip irrigation
  •  improve watershed health
  •  decrease noxious weeds
  •  provide informational and educational programs
  •  assist with related community projects
  •  network with other agencies and groups


 

 

The DSWCD is part of Region III of the New Mexico Soil and Water Conservation Districts. New Mexico has 47 soil and water conservation districts.
